This is a sweet young lady from the New Century 1900.
The artist is Helen McCook and the set was published in the “Doll Castle News” magazine September & October 1975 issue.
The bottom corner is off as my puppy that I had back then chewed the corner when I had my back turned for a second.
I have the second page length wise in case you want to print them out, then they would match up.
How cool is that. Helen McCook was my grandmother – she used to write and draw for the Doll Castle News. Fabulous, I know it was a couple of years ago, but thanks for posting this!
Hi Steve – this just proves what I have been saying for years, it is a small world. Some where I think I have more of her art work. She had a style all her own and I really liked it. This came from the Doll Castle News magazine.
Steve – I already did this, but I keep forgetting to hit the reply button, so here goes once again. This just proves what I have been saying for years, that it is a small world. This paper doll came from the Doll Castle News magazine. Somewhere I have some more of her things. She had a style all her own and I really, really, liked it. I peeked at your blog and will visit it tomorrow. Marge
Hello I knew Helen. She was a member of my Doll Guild. I took doll-making classes with her. I have several of her watercolor paintings & dolls. She was a special & very talented artist.
