Okay, Wednesday night was church and we got home late, Thursday night Korey and I went Christmas shopping for the people we had to send packages out of state to. Friday night I went the the “2011 Womens Christmas Dinner” at church, that is where the men cook and wait on us. It was a very nice evening and I do not get out socially very much anymore.
I just got thru baking 3 dozen cookies, we still have a container that contained some Thanksgiving Turkey given us to take home from the family that invited us over for Thanksgiving. Of course the turkey was long gone but Korey keeps forgetting to take the container back to Church on Sunday as the man of the family teaches Sunday School same as Korey. So instead of sending it back empty thought it might me nice to put some cookies in it. Made a dozen each of Cranberry Oatmeal; Strawberry, and Peanut Butter. While they were baking I was scanning older Christmas Cards I have received in years pass to share.
The verse reads: ]
- Thinking of you
- because you’re too
- too nice to forget.
This is from The Fraser Collection by Gibson Greetings Inc. number 57314 and I received it back in 1997 from Irene Churlick.
This card is just so precious, I love the little fawn and the squirrel companion, or that just might be a chipmunk.
The verse reads:
- MAY THE HOLIDAY SEASON
- BRING YOU
- EVERY HAPPINESS
I received this back in 1985 from Marilyn in Ohio.
It is a Norcross card number3142
This kitty looks like she is looking up saying “pet me”, “let me sit on your lap”. I so do miss our cat
The verse reads:
- Merry Christmas
- Happy New Year
I received this from Doll Club card exchange back in 1993 and the artist was Stephanie Stouffer published by Rainboworld number 235-150 from a Special Edition.
