Well I said last night I would tell you all about the convention. Where to begin.
First the Hope Hotel named after Bob Hope the movie star. It is a small hotel, very cozy, friendly with helpful employees always with a smile and a hello. You look out your room window and see lots of green grass, flower gardens, lovely trees of all sorts as you are way out in the country and it is so quiet and peaceful. They have rocking chairs on the front porch for smokers or ones who just want some fresh air. There is also a little grassy area off the lobby with a 2 seat swing and table and chairs for the same purpose. A lovely grand piano in the lobby where a sing along was held one evening. There is a sports bar with restraurant run by a chef who trained in Paris called Packy’s, this was Bob Hope’s name when he did some boxing in early years. All the convention and other meals were very good.
The first day was the sales room all day, with lots of goodies to buy and if you were like me with very little funds, it was fun looking anyway and talking with the dealers. For me, who has been collecting for so many years, it is seeing old friends and making new ones that means so much at the conventions.
Do not have adobe hooked up to my lap-top yet so cannot post pictures tonight. Korey has been very busy this week- running somewhere every day and night.
Speaking of night, I am very tired so will tell more tomorrow – have a nice day Friday!
