First off I have not forgotten the black and white pages from Miss America. They will be posted this coming week.
Friday was our day for “Learn Shops” -We had talks and slides on American 19th century commercial paper dolls, baby paper dolls, advertising paper dolls, paper toys, how to conserve and preserve our paper dolls, a talk about Pat Stall, a great paper doll artist, the life of Nellie Bly, and someone to identify our mystery paper dolls for us. Also an ex Wave told some stories about her experience. No matter how many of these I attend, I always learn something new.
The raffle room opened with lots of goodies , and for once I won one item. I did not know what was in it when I put my ticket in the cup but the paper had lots of the cutest kittens on it, I collect kitten papers, and unusual wrapping paper. Ended up some cut sets off movie stars that I did not have so was very pleased. I love the cut sets as I can dress the dolls up and play.
Today we have the 2nd centerpiece on the meal tables for you to enjoy.
