Mothers Day Greeting Card

This card reminds me of the Norweign or Danish Wooden Christmas Trees for table tops you see during the Holiday Season in the stores.Swedish style Mothers Day Card1986When you open the card there is a border around both sides of the card of tulips, hearts, and leaves. The same as on the limbs of the tree on the front. On the left hand side of the card, in the middle,  there is an embossed heart 2″ x 1 3/4″ made up of white flowers, hearts and leaves.  I tried to scan it but being white on white it did not show up.  Also the white embossed items are scattered all over the front of the card.  This is a Hallmark card #150MD 930-3 and I received it in 1986.

When I first moved to Fort Lauderdale, the drug stores and card shops carried paper doll greeting cards.  Now it is just about impossible to find one.  This one has stickers for the clothes.  I personally do not like the idea of stickers for the clothes, half the fun of paper dolls was cutting out the clothes, but times do change.

It will take some playing around with as  there is a difference of spacing on the two dolls.  Think I will play one of these days and see what I come up with as she has such a cute face.  If I succeed I will post the results.

This is an American Greeting Card #150B 487 – 13E
