Today we have an untitled paper doll, so I am calling her Lady from Egypt. This is a free bee from the Tampa paper doll party we just had The back of each page is an advertisement, so I do not know where it came from or when although ’88 is next to her name on the bottom of the page. This has a very impressive border also.
I love your site and found it by accident. Brings me back to my youth when I played with paper dolls. I am saving them now and so enjoying the diverse selection you post. Thank you so much for sharing them. Very exciting. Wonderful to be able to do paper dolls once more at age 69… Margie
Marjorie – meet Margery – nice to have you join us. I love sharing my collection. I have no one near me to play paper dolls with so this is a fun way for me to interact with others that like them also. I am an 81 paper doll collector and designer. Always wanted to be a fashion designer but that was not in the cards for me, so designing outfits for paper dolls is what I do in my spare time.
It’s from Doll World Magazine Sept/Oct ’88 issue. I have the title as “Egyptian Queen” in my magazine pd database. Not sure if that is an official title or just the title I gave it.
WOW and thank you – you must certainly be very organized. I have spent the a.m. tossing and trying to organize a little, about the only thing I really keep up to date are my reading books. I love to read but hate to buy a duplicate book so I do have those listed on the computer under each authors name. Thank you for updating our info on the Lady from Egypt paper doll. It is greatly appreciated, I do have a paper doll inventory list but had them listed under too many catagories so it grew out of hand, now trying to get it organized again.
These are so wonderful. I love Egypt and I’m so grateful that you shared these 🙂 I’m currently drawing some Egypt designs for my paper dolls. I just want to say that even though I mostly stay silent I read every single one of your posts which I get by email, they always make me happy. Thank you.
I found your site a few days ago and sins then I can not stop looking at al the paper dolls, I am only 17 but love al the old paper dolls. I love the fashion they used to wear in those days and the detail that are in the paper dolls. My favorite is this one, I love egypt and just love al the colors.
My mother: Loraine Morris Kesselring made this paper doll. She is still creating art at the age of 90. She was quite surprised to see her art work on the internet however sold over 50 paper dolls creations to different magazines so far in her life time.
