This is a cute little character and so is the cat, there are lots of items to see on this card including a couple pairs of eyes only in the grass.

The verse reads:

  • …monsters need love, too,
  • you know!
  • Happy Halloween!

This came from my daughter Helen and her family (all her children have been born now, but no great children for me yet) back in 1989.

It is from Gallant Greeting Corp. number O120A 100H 70514

I love the big old dog on the front of this card.

The inside of the card is all yellow shinny paper with the same pumpkin that is on the front on the inside of the front cover.  This came from my oldest daughter, Helen and her family that is why the “me” on the front was changed to “us”.

The verse reads: “…wishin’ you a Happy Halloween!

Both pumpkins are covered in glitter.

This is an American Greeting card number 125H 0901-2C from the “Pee Wees” series.

No date, but it is old as the grandchildren Ann, Cheryl and Dustin were not old enough to have spouses or children of their own yet, so would say 1987 – 1990.

This little Elf was very popular back in the late 1980’s.   His little friend, a girl, is inside the pumpkin.

I like the dark background – gives the card a more spooky look.

The verse reads:

  • Tricks and treats
  • and pumpkin heads,
  • Parties, costumes, too,
  • Hope you have a Halloween
  • That’s Boo-tiful
  • for you!

This is a “Forget Me Not” card from American Greetings number 100H 1001-2G.

It was sent to me by my youngest granddaughter, Cheryl back in 1986.

This is a cute card with mice inside the pumpkin.

The verse reads:

  • So be sure to celebrate it
  • In your favorite style-
  • Feeling just as bright
  • and cheerful
  • As this jack-o-lantern’s smile!
  • Have a Happy Halloween

This is an American Greetings number 100H 1001-5D

My daughter Helen sent it to me back in 1986.

I posted these last year, but it is getting time to start making your Halloween greeting cards, so thought it time to post again.

Will be posting more card making ideas from now on.

Since I am busy buying Halloween stamps to make cards with, and also attending classes making Halloween items, thought I would post one of my favorite Halloween cards.  I bought this one for myself years ago, no date on it but I just liked the art work, especially a tree with a face.

Now I never would have thought of bunnies going with Halloween.

The verse reads:

  • Hope October thirty-one
  • treats you to a lot of fun!

This is a Hallmark card number 50H 41-7 02-17

This was supposed to have been posted yesterday, October 31st, but my internet was not working.  So I am sending it on today.  We had another Ermentrude card, posted October 26th, but though the cover is similar this is an entire different card.

Ermentrude Halloween card different one

Ermentrude Halloween card different one #2

Ermentrude Halloween card different one #3

Notice the cute kitten on the front of the card and then the scared cat just above,  both cards have her holding a frog with the sleep wear. The other card was from 1992, but this card is less expensive so it must have been an earlier year.  I hate it when I have forgotten to put a year on a card.

This card is an American Greetings card number 125H 1015-1B
