Well I have been thinking about making some Valentines today, so guess I am in a Valentine mood.

This is a cute card that I received back in 2000 from Virginia .  Also I am posting what was tucked inside this card.

The verse reads:

  • A special “hello”
  • That is coming your way
  • To bring you
  • best wishes
  • For Valentine’s Day
  • Have a Happy Day

This is a Hallmark card number BCC 47-6

Tucked inside the above card was this wonderful color copy of an Old Fashion Valentine card in her collection.

Front Side:

Back side

The verse reads as follows, with a lovely black and white fancy heart on the page.

I have no information as to what company published the above card but it is certainly a terrific card.  I love the delicate lace drawing around the heart with the words I Love YOU.

This lovely young lady was drawn by Queen Holdens’ talented daughter Kathy Lawrence.

It is signed which is rare in greeting cards.  I like the old fashion style dress.

This is a Carlton Cards number CV0015-02Y

The inside reads very simply: Happy Valentine’s Day and I have no date on it but it was sent to me by Barbara Clements.

A late Valentine Card

I had this card scanned to be posted, but it fell by the wayside.  Anyway I am going to post it tonight even if it is late as I think it is a very sweet one.

I really like their little faces and the curly hair.

There is an insert with the verse on the inside, the same color as the card except maybe just a wee bit lighter pink shade.

The back of the card is the same color and design as the front with out the pictures.

The verse reads:  “A Valentine wish with an old fashion touch…for a wonderful mom who’s loved very much…A Valentine wish for a wonderful day…And a whole year of happiness coming your way.  Have a Happy Day”

This is Hallmark card number 125V 416-4 16-23 and I received in back in 1987 from my daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Chris.

1919 Valentine Card

This is a lovely older card, I enlarged it somewhat when I scanned it so it would be clearer for you to see.  It is amazing that something made of paper and this old and older survives the ravages of time.

This was sent to Dorothea from Doris Ford back in 1919.

Then in 1992 it was sent to me I think because of the butterflies.  I love butterflies.

The cards back then had such a delicate look to them.

This is a cute one with kittens and their cat toys.  Also has a lovely quilt done in heart applique.

It must have taken some time shopping for the material to make the quilt as each heart is different. but then maybe it is only a drawn item.  There is the name Giordano on the bottom right hand corner of the front, so maybe this is the name of the Artist.

The verse reads: Hope your Valentine’s Day is as wonderful and warm as a favorite blanket or a hug from someone special…or a thought of you!  Happy Valentine’s Day.

This is a Gibson Greeting Card number 295 V00922, 295V 02 17 31692-001 E-62 10973 – all these numbers are listed on this card.

This is a lovely painting of a forest with a castle in the clouds and a wonderful Unicorn.

Again I wish the artist name was on this.

This is a Hallmark card number 190BV 3-1A and was sent back in 1984 by Marilyn, who shares my love of Mythology.
