KATY KEENE ON STAGE

This set combines 3 of my favorite things.  Pat Frey -artist,  the ballet  and the Katy Keene paper doll.

This was published in the Katy Keene magazine by Craig in California in 1983.

Also you can have the fun of coloring it.  So take time out from the Holiday rush, make a cup of coffee or tea, coca might be good too, and have fun coloring.

I would have loved to have the little dog in the right hand corner on the front of the card. And my Candy, youngest daughter, would have loved the Doll House. Also the outfits are lovely for a beautiful doll.

On the inside of the front of the card it reads: Here’s a doll you’ll adore – With dresses and more – To play with all day, Dear, until Santa Claus brings – All those Christmastime things – That give specially sweet girls such a thrill!

On the inside back cover it reads: MERRY CHRISTMAS! HAVE LOTS OF FUN!

This is a Carlton card number 150×01015-1m.  It was sent to me by my friend Margaret Branchaud.

GRANDFATHER FROST

This unusual paper doll was done by Tatiana Baeva.

This was published in a magazine called “Doll Life” in the December 1993 issue.

This is a colorful card on the front, then the inside is done in black and white for you to color.

This card came from my friend Barbara in 1995.

It was designed by Linda Peck of the Peck-Gandre’s company  “Paper Treasures” and is number 100PG07.

Before I started to keep an inventory of my paper doll collection, I collected a lot that I have no record of where  or from whom I got the set from.  This is one such set.  I think it is a very cute set and appropriate for the Holiday gift season.

For A Very Special Girl here are 2 dolls to dress and play with.

The verse reads: These Holiday Dollies are coming to stay! They’ve brought lots of clothes, and they’re ready to play! Please help them DRESS UP for wherever they go — For SKATING or PARTIES,  or out in the SNOW.  They’ll love making stories and playing “pretend” with someone AS SPECIAL AS YOU for their friend! Have a Very Merry Christmas!

This is a Hallmark card number X 291-9 10-15 and again I forgot to put a date for when I received the card.

A CAT PAPER DOLL POSTCARD

This is a very sure of  herself cat and I enjoy looking at all the extra things on the card. The basket even has paper dolls in it.

The postmark on the card is 1986 and it is signed by Cheach ’85, it was sent to me by Phyllis Cady.

Santa Clause a paper doll

Another wonderful paper doll by Helen Page to share with you.

I really like this Santa Claus and then there is the sweet little doll and her clothes.  I just received a Christmas card with a picture of Helen on it and she looks wonderful.

I was lucky enough to buy some of Joan Carol’s paper doll collection and this was one of the items.  My collection is not only wonderful as far as the paper dolls go, but it holds so many memories for me of the people associated with it.

This is a Lucy and Co. card with different types of Santa Claus suits to wear.

This is a Lucy and Company card number 135 PB-8. The art work was done by Lucy Rigg.  A very clever card.  This is all I have of her cards, wish I had purchased more. I received it back in 1987.

You could make the card posted separately and enclose a NUTCRACKER  ornament or bookmark.

This will probably need to be enlarged some to make the card and/or  the ornament or bookmark.

To make the ornament just cut out the nutcracker figure only, punch a small hole in his hat at the top and use gold thread to make a loop for hanging.

To make a bookmark, print a copy of the nutcracker, paste on a light weight piece of cardboard, cut around the outside edge above, add some pretty green, red or white ribbon or a tassel to the top of the hat by punching a hole and threading the ribbon or tassel thru the hole.  About a 3″  length will do as the card will be placed in the book and the ribbon or tassel will hang outside the book. Please give me credit on the back of the ornament or bookmark, “Art work done by Margery Schaffer”. Thank you.
